SF₆-free switchgear replaces sulphur hexafluoride gas with environmentally friendly alternatives like dry air. Nuventura's SF₆-free gas-insulated switchgear uses pure dry air as the insulation medium combined with vacuum circuit breakers, eliminating greenhouse gas emissions while maintaining the same reliability and performance as traditional SF₆-based systems.
SF₆ is the world's strongest greenhouse gas, with a global warming potential 23,500 times higher than CO₂.
