Business Development Manager - Partners (f/m/x)

Nuventura has developed a new generation of electrical switchgear - a key hardware component of electricity grids - that is highly innovative and environmentally sustainable, which it is now industrializing for scaling globally.

 

Part of facilitating our vision is to enable more players in the market to offer SF6-free switchgear panels thereby getting rid of SF6 and its tremendously high impact on climate change. For this, we want to hire a Business Development Manager.

 

As nuventura’s Business Development Manager you fill a crucial role in terms of finding, developing, and onboarding switchgear panel builders and manufacturing partners.

 

To be successful in this role, you need to deeply understand and adopt our vision. You need to have very good research and communication skills while being highly organized, authentic and personable. We also offer the role as a part-time position. The management team has children and they are what counts most in all of our lives, which we not only say, but also live. What matters most for us is attitude and personality.

What will you be responsible for?

  • You will conduct research to find and qualify new business partners and build a pipeline of opportunities

  • You will identify relevant contact persons to reach out to

  • You will prepare for and lead introductory meetings with the key stakeholders

  • You will investigate opportunities, understand partner capabilities, and build the business case

  • You will define the partnership agreement with relevant commercial terms and negotiate the contract    

  • You will serve as the main point of contact for partners during the onboarding and initial tendering stages  

  • You will work closely with the engineering and project management teams during the delivery stages

  • You will work closely with the commercial and product teams to develop and refine strategy, business, and pricing models    

  • You will, depending on interest and capacity, be involved in various commercial activities       

  • You will be attending industry-relevant conferences and faires 

 

What do you need to bring into the company?

  • You have a university degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics and/or relevant experience in similar roles in the energy space       

  • You have 5 years of relevant business experience       

  • You have 2 years of experience in the energy industry/sector    

  • A good understanding of switchgear and other electrical equipment used in distribution networks as well as the key players in the market is a great advantage   

  • You are flexible and execution-oriented      

  • You bring openness and are fun to work with    

  • Despite tight schedules and being under pressure, you are an engaging and trusted colleague and partner       

  • English language (C1) is a must. Additional language skills are welcome, especially Spanish, French and German 

  • You impress by precise communication and the ability to deliver on time   

  • You are open to regularly travel
